Who is eligible?
· Certified staff having completed the TIP and TOP programs and having signed their third year contract with this district
· New, part-time, and returning certified employees (see PD guidelines for benefit specifics)
What are allowed PD activities?
· 3 days PD activities are available for full-time teachers per school year (June 1-May 31)
· Up to 2 days can be used for workshops or observations. 1 day can be used for ‘teachers teaching teacher’ events.
· Continuing Education. 12 hours per school year of graduate level classes pertaining to your master’s degree or teaching field.
What expenses are covered?
· Registration fees, mileage, hotel, parking, meals for workshop, observation and ‘teaching’ events.
· Tuition reimbursement of $214 per graduate hour
· Cost of a substitute teacher or $120 stipend if event occurs on a non-contract day.
How do I request a PD activity?
All PD activities must be approved prior to the event.
· Application forms can be found on the shared drive (S:K1-12/PDC-Current forms/PDC Forms 14-15) and should be submitted electronically to your building representative.
How do I request reimbursement?
· Reimbursement forms are found on the shared drive (above). Use the reimbursement check list for the specific event to insure that all required documentation is included with your request.
